I want to buy a violin for my son. I am not in China now. My question
is whether the violin is cheaper in China. The price in our local store
is around $3000.
sorry,I don't think so.It is sure that there are more cheaper and better Violins in abroad.Especially in Europe.I have seen a lot of violins in China and Europe,because I am looking a violin now.And I find that,there are really so good violins in Europe and costs just half preise than in China.
Of course, I mean the professional violin,if you want to get a violin without the hand technic.There are more in China,everywhere......
It's really very hard to answer your question where you should buy the violin you need. It all depends. Finance permitting, I suppose you had better buy one as good as you can afford. A good professional violin teacher and a good qualified violin are the most important prerequisites besides your son's music knowledge and talent. A beautiful violin with wonderful sond can raise and keep a child's interest. Or he will throw it off half way. As the cheapest, you may be able to get one in China for no more than RMB1000, but those are rubbish. In my opinion, you may buy one for at least RMB5000.
