This is a student instrument made on our CNC router and hand finished, probably by GVG.
The pegs and tailpiece, if original which they do look, are boxwood and also made on the same routers in the workshop.
These good quality student instruments which were sold in large numbers all around the world from about 1997 to 2007 were unfortunately undercut by Chinese manufacturers, with labour a fraction of the cost we can achieve in Europe.
An article is only worth what someone will pay for it, that said I used to sell that model for about £500 - £750 sterling here in the shop.
The important thing about violins is their tone. If you have a nice one, play it and it will improve more, that is the nice thing about CNC routed instruments - they improve more than hand carved can due to the accuracy of the cut.
